The most difficult class I encountered this semester was definitely CHM191. Although I already learned everything from this course in my senior year of high school, it was still very challenging because of how it was taught. Being unable to hear or understand the professor and not having that small classroom setting from high school made things a little more challenging for me. But, I did find ways to get past this issue by reading the textbook thoroughly and watching videos online. Internet resources such as research websites or homework help sites were extremely helpful in helping not only remember everything from HS chemistry, but also understand a few new concepts.

Although internet sources can be very helpful with classes, I personally did not find the Evernote program particularly helpful. If I'm on the computer typing up notes and reflections, I'm more likely to actually end up on social media or Netflix. It just poses as a distraction for me most of the time and it usually takes me longer to get my work done. Plus, I find that writing my notes out helps me really remember everything a little easier. I personally will rewrite, highlight, and color-coat all my notes when preparing for a test so I am not entirely a big fan of Evernote. All through school i've always worked in a notebook for anything school related and my teachers never really mentioned the idea of using a computer for school work, so I guess it' just unusual for me. I feel like if I were introduced to Evernote when I was younger, before I learned my own strategies for studying, it would have made a greater impact on me. I do realize that it is a great resource for those who have grown up with it or are willing to just change their methods, but I am unfortunately just not one of those people.

One thing that I really do like about evernote is that you can view any of your notes pretty much anywhere right from your phone. Whenever I have to study for a test, I usually just rewrite my notes in different colors and highlight important things. But after I'm done studying and I've left my books, I constantly think about all my notes and formulas I have to remember and whether or not I'm remembering them correctly. So, I always take pictures of my notes so i can quickly look at them as I'm doing other things. This is how evernote would really help me. I wouldn't have to worry about taking pictures of all my notes and then not having any storage left on my phone to take more pictures. Being able to have my notes anywhere with me and saved for the future would be great and very helpful, but the only problem is transitioning into Evernote and changing my current study patterns.
